Billie Harvey Racing Stats
Automobile Racing Club of America ARCA
Harvey's success in ARCA much better than in NASCAR. He finished 8th in points in 1980 and 18th in 1982 and 17th in 1985.
He won the 1980 summer ARCA event at Talladega, his first win with the group and set a new record of 191.466 in qualifying.
When ARCA came to Talladega in the summer of 1981 Billie set a qualifying mark of 200.642 mph and gave ARCA much needed credibility. It was a full year before a NASCAR driver (Benny Parsons) topped the 200 mph mark at the Alabama facility.
Billie had a total of five pole positions and two race victories in ARCA. I will see if I can find out where the poles were earned. Once win was Talladege but not sure about the second. Will see if I can find that too.
